Between 80 and 130.
should be 195 to 210 normal operating temp
We replaced the temperature gauge in my 1991 Chevy blazer what is the normal operating temp?
The normal operating temp for any Mercedes is between 80°C and 100°C (the next line after 80°) Anything over 100° and you should have it checked out. Mercedes are different, in that, the temp gauge is constantly moving because it provides true engine temp data... not just (normal) or stuck in the middle of the gauge.
Needle in gauge should be midway between the 80 mark and the mark just above it.
I believe they should run at abt. 200-210 with a 195 thermostat . It will also depend on what engine you have. 4.3 liters run on the gauge right at 200
Your gauge should read just under of 210 deg F mark. I am guessing it is the 4.2 I6
If the car is overheating or if the temperature gauge is not coming up to normal operating temperature which is normally half way up the gauge then the thermostat needs replacing. As the water pump should be replaced at the same time as the cam belt every 90,000 miles, you should also replace the thermostat and coolant. If the car is overheating or if the temperature gauge is not coming up to normal operating temperature which is normally half way up the gauge then the thermostat needs replacing. normally the gauge should be in the middle.(between hot and cold) that is concider operating temp.
THE NORMAL GAUGE PRESSURE SHOULD STAY AROUND 12 TO 19 P.S.I
what should my dash gauge read for normal opp temp on my 97 Chevy 5.7 liter vortec
It is not normal, but it is not a major problem. If the issue is only the lack of lighting on the gauge, the bulb can be replaced and that should fix it.
The 1999 Cadillac normal coolant temperature gauge reading should be 180 degrees. A 195 degrees thermostat could be used, causing the temperature gauge to read 195.
