65-99 (mg/dl) is considered normal fasting blood sugar range.
100-125 is considered pre-diabetic.
Two fasting blood sugar tests of 126 or above is confirmed diabetic.

The normal amount in a non-diabetic person should be between 90 and 120. It shouldn't go below or above these numbers.

I have gestational Diabetes... I have been told that I need to keep my fasting blood sugar below 90, but definitely above 70. If my sugar reaches 65 or lower, they told me that I need to drink a glass of juice right away. My after-meal sugars should be under 140. Remember, after-meal blood sugars need to be taken 1 hour after the first bite of food, not after finishing the meal.

Normally in mammals, the body maintains the blood glucose level at a reference range between about 3.6 and 5.8 mM. Normally in mammals, the body maintains the blood glucose level at a reference range between about 3.6 and 5.8 mM?
When a person's blood sugar level is tested it is normally tested 6 to 8 hours after the last meal is eaten. Therefore, it is normally tested before breakfast. The normal range at this time is 70 to 100 deciliters. After eating a meal a person's blood sugar level rises but doesn't usually get above 135 to 140 milligrams per deciliter.
80 mg -120 mg
The high end has now been tightened down to 100.
Currently, a good fasting blood sugar level is 80-120.
The normal blood sugar range for fasting is between 70 and 100 milligrams per deciliter. Anything below this level and a person is at risk of serious health issues and complications.
Normal range for fasting blood glucose is 65-99 mg/dl.
Fasting blood glucose should be between 70-100. A normal blood glucose would be about 125. If your fasting glucose is above 125, you may be at a high risk for developing diabetes. Your blood sugar should never be 60 or below, this is hypoglycemia and it means you could pass out or have a seizure.
my glucose fasting level is 125mg/dl, is it okay or normal
My latest blood test after fasting 8 hrs is 108
The normal range of glucose should be between 70 and 99 mg/dL while fasting. The normal range after two hours of eating should be less than 140 mg/dL.
There are a number of websites that contain information on the normal blood glucose range. Such information can be found on WebMD, Wikipedia and MayoClinic.
"Normal" is relative. It depends on a variety of factors, including whether or not they are diabetic, what point they feel "low", how well they manage their diabetes, medications and conditions, and hormones. An average range is 80-120.
For a non-diabetic person the blood glucose level should be between 4 and 8 mmol/l. Normal glucose range in UK is between 4-8mmol/l. Levels will increase within 2 hours after meals. In the US, a normal value is less than 120mg/dl (note different units!) .
Blood glucose also called blood sugar can be measured before and 2 hours after meals.. Normal blood sugar is from 4.0 to 5.9 mmol/L 2 hours after a meal under 7.8 mmol/L. For Type 2 Diabetes its 4 to 7 mmol/L 2 hours after a meal under 8.5. If you do have more questions ask your Doctor.
Now, in a normal individual we measure blood sugar under different circumstances. What we call fasting blood sugar or blood glucose levels is usually done six to eight hours after the last meal. So it's most commonly done before breakfast in the morning; and the normal range there is 70 to 100 milligrams per deciliter.
A normal fasting blood glucose level is between 70 and 90. Higher numbers would inducate pre-diabetes or diabetes. Post-meal glucose readings should be between 100 and 130, all depending on your age, weight, lifestyle and general health.
It means that the blood vessels and blood flow are normal. The part about 'within normal limits' means that there is a range. An example is that the normal range for blood glucose (sugar) is from 70-110. If you have a number somewhere in that range, your blood sugar level is fine.
