Mine which is still in it's break-in stage is operating at max 105C (221F) at which the fan comes on and cools it down. This only occurs in traffic or waiting at a light. Note that my bike is still in its break in period so it reaches this temperature a bit quicker than a bike with a little more mileage on it. But still I wouldn't worry about your temperature unless you start reaching about 107C (224F) and your fan isn't kicking in or able to cool it down. Now, if your bike is in its break in period and it's hot outside, your bike may begin to hit 107C or higher. This is normal because it's a new bike BUT you should pull over, turn it over and let it cool down before continuing.

One other thing to check, of course, if you haven't already, is your coolant levels. You can see your reservoir tank on the left side of your bike in the wheel well (Viewing from Front). It might be low. This happened to me, the dealership didn't put enough in from the start. To add coolant, check the instructions in your owner's manual. It's pretty easy but requires you to take off the left-side fairing.

What can cause your 1997 galant to idle fast then slow?

The cause of your 97 Galant idling fast and then slow is a high idle system, either electrical or mechanical. Basically works like this: when the car is cold, usually in the morning, the system will cause the idle to be higher than normal to help heat the engine to normal operating temperature. Once that temperature is reached it will then kick down to a slower idle. Both idle speeds are preset by the factory. This is common on all vehicles, not just the Galant.

Why does heater blow cold at idle only blows hot air when accelerating temperature gauge shows normal Chevrolet Impala 2008?

If the coolant level is okay, I would suspect a restricted heater core. Try flushing the heater core.
