*answer* i am not sure but my sources are telling me that the MSRP will be 300$ that does not make sense because it is not practical to have a old 80gb and a new 120gb system for the same price. i will update when i get an answer *over&out* *answer* ok people i have confirmed the new ps3 slim is retailing at 299$!!! *over&out*

The original PS3 is "technically" superior. But, the PS3 slim consumes less power, and is smaller. There isn't as much heat with the slim... Personally, I prefer the Original PS3 over the slim.
