The clockwise direction has been associated with positive forces in the northern hemisphere because in the northern hemisphere the sun appears to track across the sky in a clockwise direction (see explanation below) and the sun was so important and unexplained to early humans it was given spiritual significance and sometimes worshipped.
The number seven is also associated with positive things in some cultures so this superstition may be a combination of these two beliefs.
Northern hemsiphere clockwise sun movement: When facing towards the position of the midday sun (south in the northern hemisphere): starting from the east, the sun appears to rotate or follow an arc up and north and then south and down across the sky during the day.
Ignorance.
There is a superstition that carrying an acorn can give you long life, which started with the Druids.
Move it 3 times* * * * *or once in the anti-clockwise direction.
Determining the source of a certain superstition is very often difficult. Often these superstitions are ancient and of unknown origin.
Take any one point on the figure. Draw a line from it to the origin. At the origin measure an angle of 90 degrees (right angle) in a clockwise direction. Draw a line from the origin at this new angle and of the same length as the original angle. Repeat this process for the other points in the figure. NB Be careful, there will be numerous lines from the origin. At the end points of the new lines, connect up to reveal the origin figure ,but rotated 90 degrees - clockwise.
the origin is define as the point (0,0) it means no motion or no displacement
Quite arbitrarily. But in the northern hemisphere, the shadow of a sundial will traverse clockwise. And this is probably the origin of the term and the common usage. [My speculation.]
A 180° rotation is half a rotation and it doesn't matter if it is clockwise of counter clockwise. When rotating 180° about the origin, the x-coordinate and y-coordinates change sign Thus (1, -6) → (-1, 6) after rotating 180° around the origin.
If its position in relation to the origin has change.
You dont, its just 90 degrees 3 times..
No, only their positions will change.
An origin or zero point.
