I am one. It is super interesting but you need a pHD to be anything significant. You can also go to medical school if you want. The pay for a BS in biochem isn't very high compared to a engineer. Biochemical engineering will make you more money. A random fact I read said that the number one undergrad degree in americas 1% is biochem. The degree itself is much harder than Biology but if you like it it's a fantastic field.
