Michigan's overall record starting from their first year of football (1878): 841-276-36 Miami's (assuming you mean Miami, FL) overall record starting from their first year of football (1927): 516-288-19 Well, I DON'T assume you mean Miami, FL. In fact, I fully assume that you spend your nights rolling around in bed because you're dying to know the overall Division I record of Miami of Ohio. So here goes... Record as the Miami Redskins 575-323-44 Record after 1996 when they became the Miami Redhawks 64-29 Record of the joined and mighty forces of the Redskin/Redhawks 639-352-44 At the start of the 2007 season, Michigan is 860-284-38 and Miami (FL) is 532-297-19 and Miami (OH) is 642-363-44.
The University of Michigan
The University of Michigan went 11-2.
a division record is the win-loss total within a teams conference/division (sec, acc, big ten, etc.) overall record is the win-loss total for all games a team plays, including those not in their conference/division
2-0
The University of Michigan is one...but I can't recall who the second is.
In most cases, the division winner with the best overall season record plays the wildcard team and the other two division winners play each other. But, in the case where the wildcard team and the division winner with the best overall record come from the same division, the division winner with the second overall best record plays the wildcard team and the division winner with the best overall record plays the division winner with the third best overall record. Confusing? Kinda, and kinda not really fair either, but MLB does not want two teams from the same division playing each other in the first round of the playoffs.
It depends upon the league/sport. In the NFL, for example, the team with the best overall record wins their division. In the event of a tie, the division record acts as the tiebreaker. I believe the best conference record wins the conference in NCAA Football, regardless of overall record. Then there are the league like the NHL, where a team earns 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or post regulation loss--with the team accumulating the most points winning their division/conference.
Michigan is 2-0 all-time against Oklahoma State. Michigan won 42-3 on October 2, 1926 and 35-3 on September 19, 1992. Both games were in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Michigan leads the series 23-16-1
Michigan with an overall winning percent of .754
Michigan holds a 23-16-1 record against Notre Dame
There is no required win-lose record to get in the playoffs. The team with the best overall record in the division goes on to the playoffs. If there are teams that are tied with the best overall record there will be a tie breaker which is the best in division record.
