The size of a 1x1 picture is 1 inch or centimeter (whichever one applies) on each side of the photo.

All you need to do is have that picture that you want to trace. Then on the back of that paper, take your pencil and shade the back of that picture and remember to shade the parts where your picture is. Then you get that other paper and put the paper with the picture on top of it. You just trace it on and the picture will trace onto the other paper.
There should be an option in your printer settings for page size. There should be a USER SETTING or CUSTOM, or an editable box. You should be able to change the size from there. As far as your printer recognizing the paper size, there should be a sliding plastic bar that you can use to properly align the paper in the feed tray.
