There is a part in the seventh book where Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in the Room of Requirement. This is the part where Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle gang up on them. There are some uncontrollable magical flames released in there and Harry, Ron and Hermione save Draco and Goyle. However Crabbe is killed.

The main centaurs in the Harry Potter series are Firenze, the outcast centaur who saves Harry from Quirrell/Voldemort in novel one and gets a position as a Divination teacher in book five, and Bane, the leader of the centaur who Firenze has to fend off and defend Harry from in the first novel and is mentioned occasionally throughout the novels. Those are the main centaurs in Harry Potter, I don;t know anymore offhand.
