Well....on land, water and in the air to say the least. Typically life on earth exists in the troposphere which extends from ground level or water level to about 11 miles into the sky. That is where we have our Gods of rain - clouds.

Life exists in the biosphere.

This takes the form of a shell around the planet. How thick is this shell? Some birds have been found flying at an altitude of more than 10,000 meters (35,000 feet). At the other extreme, some bacteria have been found 5,000 meters (3 miles) under the Earth's surface.

Well, we live in the Troposphere, which has land, water, and air but there is also air in the Stratosphere, Mesosphere and the Thermosphere. The Troposphere is the layer of the atmosphere in which weather occurs. I don't know if this is the answer you were looking for.
