Notes can be a noun or a verb. Verb would be "He notes that the water was dripping." Noun would be "He took notes."

The four parts of a scale are the root note (starting note), intervals (distance between notes), mode or type (such as major or minor), and the octave (repeating pattern of notes higher or lower).
In a band or woodwind ensemble, flute 1 and flute 2 are simply parts you play. Typically flute one will have more parts, or higher notes. Flute 2 will have less parts, or lower notes. THey have these so there's some harmony in the piece you are playing.
high notes and low notes are usually catagorized by voice parts. soprano is high, (somtimes sopranos are split into soprano 1s and 2s) alto is low, and tenor is boys.
The notehead (the round part), the stem, and, in the case of eighth notes, sixteenth notes ect., a flag.
