What did Jesus mean when He said Unless you can eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood you have no life in you John 6 v53?
Did you know that this was before Jesus Christ was sacrificed on
the cross? This means that when he said this, he was talking about
His body. He was crucified for all of our sins in order for us not
to go to hell. All we have to do is accept Him into our hearts and
when we die we will go to heaven.
It is a metaphor for spiritual 'eating'. The verses in John 6
v58 and 63 clarify this.
This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your
fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread
shall live for ever...It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh
profits nothing: the words that I speak to you, they are spirit,
and they are life.
