E6 is the pay grade.
In the United States Navy, and E6 is a Petty Officer, First Class, or a "PO1"
Yes. Staff Sergeant is pay grade E6 in both the US Army and US Marine Corps (it's pay grade E5 in the Air Force).
Pay is determined by rank, time in grade, and other factors.
To many variables, such as how long have they been in the service, what is their pay grade, are they enlisted or officer. For example, I am a E6 with more than 12 years of service..... including different allowance's and housing I take home after taxes 50K a year. This amount will vary by location, if you are married or have children, or the type of duty you are on.
Lieutenant Commander (pay grade O-4).
Fireman...Pay grade level 1
All enlisted rates E4through E6 are respectfully called. "Petty Officer".
Are you referring to a member of the staff of the US Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps? Navy lawyers, sometimes referred to as "JAGs", are paid based on their Navy rank. A junior JAG officer is probably a Navy Lieutenant, at a pay grade of "O3", has a pay dependent on their time on active duty, between $35K and $45K per year. A mid-grade JAG officer is probably a Navy Commander or O5, with a pay between $45K and $70K per year. There are additional allowances for housing and meals.
The pay grade GS3 refers to civilian government workers; it is not a military pay grade. There is no pay grade "G3."If you are referring to the military pay grade E-3, this is the equivalent rank of a Private First Class (PFC) in the US Army, a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corps, an Airman First Class in the US Air Force, and a Seaman E-3 in the US Navy.
It depends entirely on the level of disability. If you have 100% disability, you will receive 100% of the highest level of pay you received, i.e. if you reached the rank of Staf Sgt. E6 with fifteen years time in service and two years time in grade, you would receive 100% of the pay commensurate with that rank and grade.
Military pay is determined by rank, time in grade, MOS, and years served.
