This is called replayed ball
you must stand beside the person who have the ball until he or she releases the ball
It is a penalty for holding the ball for longer than 3 secs
The ball is given to the opposing team, the penalty is taken from the sense of the infringement
No player can touch the ball whilst another is holding it, if they do it is contact on the ball and a penalty pass, pass/shot is given.
Major infringements:Contact, Obstruction, Intimidation. All of these incur a Penalty Pass and the offending player must stand 'out of play'Minor infringements: Stepping, Held Ball, Replayed Ball, Offside, Over a Third, Short Pass, Breaking, Re-entering the court (before releasing the ball from a throw in) Double BounceAll of these incur a Free Pass and no one is 'out of play'Deliberate or continual breaking of the rules can result in a warning and/or removal from the court.
Penalty pass or Penalty pass/shot, depending on where you are on court.
penalty is given to opposing team in the center third
If the penalty requires that a down be replayed, then that down is still part of the quarter that has just ended. Therefore, the period is extended by an untimed down, so that the down can be replayed before the next period begins.
If there was no ball it would not be called netball it would be called net
a size 4 ball is used for high 5 netball (which is what younger players play) and a size 5 ball is what is used in 7s netball which is what adults play x
Netball is a shooting game, but the question is why is netball is called netball, because in netball your throwing the ball in the net so that's called net and the ball that your playing with is called ball so that is ball Net ball
