Where did the phantom of the opera go to?

There are multiple versions of the Phantom of the Opera story. In the novel by Gaston Leroux (and a few movies) the Phantom dies.In the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, the Phantom leaves for Madame Giry's apartment. He then goes to Coney Island in America as a freak show. He advances quickly up the social ladder, and soon becomes the grand designer of Coney Island. By the time ten years has passed, he decides he needs to see Christine a gain. He invites her to have a concert at the opera house in New York. The events that follow can be found in the novel The Phantom of Manhattan or Andrew Lloyd Webber's soon-to-be released musical Phantom: Love Never Dies.

Conflict of the phantom of the opera?

The conflict in Phantom is the love triangle that goes on in the show. Both the Phantom and Raoul want Christine to love them but Christine can only choose one. I like how Christine is on Raoul's side throughout the whole show/movie, but you can still get little hints that she does somewhat love the Phantom. If she didn't, she wouldn't want to be around him.

How does the phantom of the opera disappear in his chair?

The Phantom is a true magician, he cannot reveal his secrets, he made an oath. If you mean by stage, a simple trapped door, and smoke, the actor that is playing the phantom simple opens the trap door and goes down the steps. It makes it seemed he had disappeared. Trick photography now you see him and now you don't. This is what was used in the movie. They film the Phantom sitting in his chair, next they film an empty chair, they splice them together.

What happens at the cemetery in The Phantom of the Opera?

Christine goes to have some "lone time" at her father's grave; the Phantom appears and begins to hypnotise her with music once more; Raoul appears, breaking her trance; he and the Phantom duel, and the Phantom is disarmed; Christine pleads for Raoul to spare his life; they leave and the Phantom declares war for both of them. Also at the end of the movie, we see Raoul going to Christine's grave. He sets a music box with a monkey on her grave. When he turns to leave he sees a rose with a black ribbon and a ring. It shows that the phantom was visiting her grave too. Sincerely, Phantomfreak6377

Who wrote The phantom of the opera novel?

Gaston Leroux (1868-1927) was a french novalist who liked writing mystery novels. He was a bit of a "rebel"; he enjoyed drinking and gambling. He travelled to many different places, including India. His most famous novel while he was still alive - and even now - was 'The mystery of the yellow room'. 'The Phantom of the Opera' became his most well known after Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical and multiple movies were made based on his book. Throughout his life he was always writing, be it for newspapers, as a play critic, or a novelist. Gaston died in Nice on April 15th, 1927 of a major urinary infection.

Why should you pity Erik in the phantom of the opera?

Erik lived with his mother Madeleine until he was 9. He ran away and was captured by the circus gypsies and locked in a cage. there he had to perform as a circus freak. When his circus master Javert tried to rape him, he murdered him and ran away. He then met the stone mason Giovanni and lived with him happily. However, Giovannis daughter Luciana removed Eriks mask and was so frightened that she fell off the building and died. Erik was forced to leave. He then travelled around Europe and met Nadir (Daroga) in Persia and worked for the Persian Shah. The Shah eventually decieded to have Erik killed but Nadir saved him. Erik then helped build the Paris opera house and it was there that he met Christine and the events of "Phantom of the Opera" take place. This is all based on Susan Kay's book "Phantom", which i highly recommend reading.
