In the first Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone Harry is an eleven year old boy. He is average height with dark hair and round glasses. He has a very distinctive scar on his forhead near his left eye, it has the shape of a lightening bolt and it was given to him on the night Voldemort killed his parents. He also attempted to kill Harry but it is said that his mothers sacrifice made him untouchable. The result in the failed Avada Kedavra curse was his scar.
