A major event is when papa burnt the cotton to stop the whites from hanging T.J.
I would say that the theme is "Work hard and never give up and you will most likely get what you have been working for". But the answer for theme is not really wrong or right, it just has to be what you think the theme is in your view.
"Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" by Mildred D. Taylor is a novel that explores themes of racism, social injustice, and resilience in the American South during the Great Depression. The story follows the Logan family, particularly Cassie Logan, as they navigate the challenges of living in a racially segregated society while fighting for their rights and dignity.
Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, written by Mildred D. Taylor, is about some children who live on a ranch where they pick cotton and white people don't like blacks. The children went to a school where all blacks go. Their family didn't have a lot of money and already didn't like the Jamison's, except they did like the Jamison's son.
One day the children were at the strawberry field and a man pushed Cassie to the ground because she wouldn't get of the sidewalk for his daughter to go by and he made her apologize. So her father and uncle went out to get the white people and got hurt. At the end they tried to take the ranch, but I won't give away the ending by telling how it ended.
The plot is that as the story develops the racial prejudice i n Mississippi at that time grows more and more imminent . The story also shows how T.J develops in the chapter leading to his death on the chain gang. Cassie is the main character and is involved in nearly all of the events in this book.
This novel is all about the discrimination between the black and white and how badly were they treated.
the rising action of this story is when the grangers are trying to get the land from the loans
