Sadly, there is probably more truth to the above statement than most of us would want to admit; however, to some Christmas does have a deeper meaning. To people of the Christian faith the point of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. To others, though certainly in the minority, the point of Christmas is the spirit of Christmas, which is giving to others.
