What is the point of cheerleading?
The point of cheerleading is to support the team, while entertaining the crowd. Cheerleaders do this by performing stunts, tumbling, dancing, cheering, and being peppy. While cheerleading started out as a sideline only sport it has evolved into being a very competitive sport. For many schools cheerleaders have a football, competition , and then basketball season, which is alot to take in !
You can't cheerleading isn't a valid point for obtaining a scholarship(not scholorship) so if you want to be funded for your education, then you should study science, math and other subjects or sports. Cheerleading may be useful for interactions and experiences but other then that, it is an useless effort trying to get a scholarship for cheerleading.
Cheerleading is a rush, it keeps you fit, you never know when your body will give up but when you think it will push it harder. cheerleading is throwing girls up and over your heads for a living and when it falls you start from the beginning. cheerleading is wearing short skirts for those football players and popping your butt whenever they look. cheerleading IS a sport people say it isn't but it is. cheerleading…
Its important to keep fit and healthy for cheerleading but you dont want to get over the top with being really thin and fragile because there is no point. If you are good at cheerleading and say 120 kilos and you are able to do everything really well, they would rather put you on the squad than someone who is 35 kilos, fragile and doesn't have as much determination.
