Canine sport fighting (dog fighting) is a blood sport in which game dogs are made to fight, sometimes to the death. Dog fighting is used for entertainment and gambling. Even though it is illegal, they can still be found in basements or private property. Some people sell their dogs to dog fighting operations because they can't afford them anymore. Dog fighters set old or weak dogs against each other in death matches and get thousands of dollars a week from people who enjoy watching violence. There is no justifiable answer to why people think pitting innocent dogs against each other and forcing them to fight to the death is a fun pastime. In reality it is a cruel, illegal activity that leaves dogs mangled, abused, and neglected if not dead.
