You can make all the strict laws you want, but criminals arent going to be affected by it, since they don't get guns the way normal law respecting citizens do. The government can ban ALL guns in America, and criminals will still have plenty of guns to murder with, acquired through illegal means.

Many people that believe that control over firearms should be increased do not know what laws are already in place. Again- strictly my opinion- trying to control crime by regulating guns is like trying to control drunk driving by regulating cars. This DOES tend to be an emotional issue.
