Blacon is a shortened form of Blacon Hall. It was`nt `founded` as such but rather developed over many years. It was a rural area outside of Chester originally known as Blakon Hill,as it stands on a slight elevation of land. Then owned by the Marquess of Crewe. There has always been buildings of one kind or another there, though the population was sparse. A small farming village community. As an estate, development proper started in the 1950`s when the area came under the Chester Councils authority. Between then and 1960 many houses were built,to form Blacon Hall estate.Further additions were built throughout the next decade. In a sense,Blacon is split into two areas: Blacon Hall,as described above and Blacon Camp which,in the main, was developed mostly throughout the 1960`s,including the high rise flats. So called because there used to be a large army camp based in that area. Blacon has since seen many more developments and is a very large `estate`.

Yes, it's quite possible to see a falcon sunning itself on a balcony, especially if it's a sunny day and the area provides a good vantage point. Falcons are known to perch in elevated spots to survey their surroundings, and a balcony can offer both warmth and safety. However, it would be relatively rare, as these birds typically prefer natural habitats or open spaces.
