I live in Ireland and i know that in some secondary schools, the transition year students learn how to speak very basic Russian. It is believed that soon Russian will be brought into Ireland as a more potential language than for example french. Russian economy is clearly growing at a massive pace, so it is only the matter of time when people all over the world will studying this particular language among with Chinese, and Portuguese which is largely spoken in Brazil
