There is no specific Postcode for England or the UK.The Royal Mail (England's main postal service) uses up to an 8 digit series of letters and numbers for their Postcodes. There are approximately 125 Postcode Areas in the UK. There are approximately 20 Postcode Districts in an area. There are approximately 3000 addresses in a Sector. There are approximately 15 addresses per Unit.A typical Postcode would be for a street, or part of a street but some businesses and properties have their own unique Postal code. For example, the Postcode CT9 2EN broken down into the 4 parts above in bold means :-The first part of the code identifies the area, CT is for Canterbury area. The second part of the code, 9, identifies the district. The third part of the code, 2, identifies the sector. The fourth part of the code, EN, identifies the unit down to one of the 15 approx. The house number which identifies the exact unit is not a part of the Postcode. If you know the number of the property and name of the street in the town you want the Postcode for then you can use the free online link below to find it.

I would just walk. Even if you were coming from the far west end of Grand Street (Varick Street or 6th Avenue) it would only be about a mile. From the east end (by the East River) it would be 3/4 of a mile, and from Little Italy or the Bowery or Chrystie Street, it's only a few blocks. Plus, there is no direct subway route. To get there, walk west or east to Chrystie Street, then walk 2 blocks south on Chrystie to Canal Street, and the roadway to the Manhattan Bridge will be right there. You will be able to see the bridge from the corner of Chrystie and Canal.

This depends entirely on what defines "biggest". The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the largest steel arch bridge in the world, though not the longest, with the top of the bridge standing 134 metres above the harbour. At 48.8 m wide, it is the widest bridge in the world (as of 2004). However, the Hornibrook Highway, which was the first bridge to connect Brisbane with the Redcliffe Peninsula, used to be the longest road bridge in Australia. The 2.8km two-lane Hornibrook Highway was opened on 4 October 1935, and featured a single central arch where the channel of the river runs, allowing for fishing craft to pass underneath. Deterioration of the bridge through the years necessitated the building of a new bridge, and a replacement three lane bridge, the Houghton Highway, was opened in 1979. A second bridge running oarallel to the Houghton, the Ted Smout Bridge, was completed in 2010. The Hornibrook Highway has now been dismantled.
