present progressive is: subject +be verb + present participle. Present participle is -ing form of verb.

So for judge the present participle is judging, for verbs that end in -e drop the -e add -ing.

make - making, bake - baking.

Example with judge:

We are judging the cakes at the fair tomorrow.
