You will not find a newborn beef calf for any price. You're better off looking for a dairy calf instead if you want to buy one to bottle raise. Or, if you're set on getting Herefords, buy some weanlings, not the bottle calves. Beef calves are not dairy calves, they stay on their mothers until they are weaned at 6 months old.

It is very rare to find a newborn or 100 lb Hereford bull calf to buy, no matter how you look at it. Like all beef calves, Hereford calves at this age (no matter the sex, male [bull] or female [heifer]) are never separated at birth from their mothers and are highly dependent on their dams for the next 6 to 10 months. If you're looking for a beef calf to bottle raise, please stop looking now because you are much less likely to find any in comparison to dairy calves. You may get lucky, but you'd be better off buying a dairy calf to raise on the bottle instead of a beef calf. A beef calf, should you find one, would probably cost around $100, more or less. Dairy calves may cost this or a little less.

If you're really wanting a beefer, I suggest you purchase one that is much older (and heavier) than the one you're looking for. A weaned Hereford calf is much more common to find than one that is practically a newborn. However, they are a little more expensive, being sold on a per lb basis, so you will have to check with your local markets for prices for weaned calves around 400 to 600 lbs.

Will hereford cow calve a limousin calf?

No. A Hereford cow will only give birth to a Hereford-Limousin cross calf if bred to a Limousin bull. Only a Limousin cow can give birth to a Limousin calf--IF she's bred to a Limousin bull. Just like a Hereford cow can only give birth to a Hereford calf if bred to a Hereford bull. Otherwise, she too (referring to the Limousin cow) can give birth to Hereford-Limousin-cross calf if bred to a Hereford bull.

Which 2 breeds to cross to find hereford?

Hereford is a pure breed, and the origin of the colour pattern of the Hereford breed is pretty much unknown. So you can't find two breeds to cross to find Hereford, unless you can find a Hereford cow and a Hereford bull and "find" a Hereford calf!
