You should probably see about checking out your transmission!
check you carbs accelerator pump then check the fuel pump that's normally the problem
Honestly ,to me if it wont start, then it is a power problem! because of Pontiac's alternators and being that the car is almost 10 yrs old you should have that checked!!
Most likely its the throttle cable, if not I would check the linkage between the gas pedal and the throttle body.
transmission is going out and bad
Bad\dirty carburetor or not getting gas.
If it does it in all of the gears then you may need a new clutch. If it is just doing it in 5th gear then it is a transmission problem.
If the shaking is specific to acceleration and the shaking is very rythmic (not random) it is most likely a fault in the ignition system. Usually a tune up or ignition coil replacement will solve this problem.
maby the cat converter is clogged? big problem, easy fix. usually it wont go over 30 mph, or even seem like the tranny is failing, or failing to shift. check it out
need to replace the coil thing, cost about £40
he said that he jerks but he doesn't really want to be known for just that. p.s. he wont jerk if it is hot out. AC AT ALL TIMES.
this is a typical problem with berettas, for some reason the bands in the transmission will not hold out after several miles are on the car, have the bands tightened or replaced, and you wont have any more problems
I do not have a answer for it, do you an answer for this problem?
