one of two things will happen. either the water will be absorbed by plants, released into the air, and eventually make it back to the ocean as rain, or it will simply flow to the sea on it's own, possibly creating a small stream in the process.

Water poured on soil will rejoin the hydrocycle. Underground there is a water table, which basically is a depth after which any hole you did would fill with water. Some water would also be absorbed between the particles of soil, until they are saturated (this happens after a heavy rain storm and 'puddles' form as a result). A small amount of the water will evaporate direction into the air, and other parts will be absorbed by plant roots.

It will still be water, it's just absorbed by the soil. It doesn't change.
