it depends on the state in which you live. In Missouri any adult over 18 can purchase a long gun and 21 for handguns.

you go to the store tell the staff which firearm you want to purchase. they provide you with a form from ATF to complete. They then call the FBI for a back ground check. You will receive one of three responses: OK, Hold or NO. An OK allows for the firearm to be purchased at once. A hold will require further time to check your records and that you can come back in a designated time to get a final decsion. A no informs the store that you are not allowed to legally purchase a firearm. there can be criminal records prohibiting you from purchasing or mental issues that would preclude you from buying a firearm. If you wish to purchase after receiving a NO it is best to have an attorney look into this situation for you.

In Which country people can purchase gun freely?

Well, define what you mean by 'freely'. In the US, it's fairly easy to purchase a firearm compared to, say, Europe, but then you have your failed states such as Somalia, where purchasing a firearm freely is quite easily achievable. Purchasing black market firearms in South Africa (or, honestly, just about anywhere in Africa) isn't a particularly difficult process, either.

How do you get a used gun registered in your name?

Need to know which jurisdiction you live in. If you're in the US, you probably don't have any requirement to register it - if it was a Title II NFA firearm which does require registration, all of that would've been done as part of the purchasing process.
