The prepuce or foreskin is a retractable layer of highly enervated flexible skin that has a fine layer of mucosal membrane on the inside designed to protect the penis glans and also enhance the pleasure of sex and masturbation. this organ is the male counterpart of the labia and the mucosal tissue found in the woman. Reasoning behind it being done has always been religious or cultural aside from it being taken up in English speaking country's under the mistaken belief that it would stop boys from masturbating which in turn would cause more then a hundred different diseases. There are no appreciable health benefits from this procedure.

∙ 13y agoNot only is the prepuce removed but often the vaginal opening is sewn to make it smaller. This practice is supposed to ensure the virginity of a bride on her wedding day. It also prevents the woman from achieving sexual pleasure during coitus.
