Program file extensions simply identify the type of program. For example, an executable program will have a file extension of .exe, and some music files will have the file extension of .mp3
So lets say you have a simple Picture on your computer:
"MyPicture.jpeg"
"MyPicture" is the File Name. &
".jpeg" is the file extension.

Tools executed from a command line have an .exe file extension and MMC Snap ins have .msc file extension.
R3D is a file extension associated with Realsoft 3D Image.
Files are named in the method: filename.extension When the file is a program, the extension is 'exe' so if a file called 'hello' was a program, it would be called: hello.exe

SEW is a file extension associated with Home Embroidery Format SEW. A quick glance through google reveals a program called Buzz2Stitches which can do this, but it is not cheap. The link is included below.
JBX is a file extension associated with Project Scheduler files. I am not aware of any program that opens this file directly however you'll need to convert this file using JBX Converters. Incorrect associations are the cause of many file extension errors. I would also suggest scanning your system to prevent and identify association errors. hope this helps. Swapnil Amin
The DVM file extension is associated with the DVM Movie File Format. It is used to store small animations and movies, developed by Magic Software.
Download a free version of Adobe Reader. Install it and the .pdf file extension is automatically associated with that program and it will open the PDF.
