a fracture.
Visually oil sheen tends to have a rainbow of colors and the sheen edges tend to be smooth and gracefully curved. Mineral sheen tends to be silver in color with jagged edges and fractures running through the sheen. As oil sheen ages and the oils degrade it becomes more and more difficult to differentiate between oil and mineral sheens because the oils tend to take on the appearance of mineral sheen.
If you are wanting to cut glass tubing, use a glass cutter or file to create a scratch where you want the break, then pull the two halves of the glass towards yourself, and the glass tubing should break away from you with very little noise. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION! Always wear goggles and thick gloves to protect yourself from the breaking glass. You should also fire polish the cut ends to remove sharp edges.

With most liquids, the attractive force between the liquid and the container is greater than the attraction between the individual liquid molecules. So the liquid "sticks" to the side of the container. A few liquids have a "backwards" meniscus. An example is mercury. If you put mercury in a test tube, it would be higher in the middle than at the edges.
How you can get a wood stain out of a white t-shirt depends on whether the stain is oil or water-based. For oil-based wood stains, use mineral spirits and for water-based wood stains, use acetone. Blot the stain from the edges and work your way in towards the middle but do not rub. Wash the t-shirt on a hot laundry cycle, between 60 and 90 degrees.
The physical property of a mineral that causes it to break with rough or jagged edges
referred to as fracture
Fracture - Property of minerals that break with jagged surfaces and edges.
Cleavage in minerals is the tendency of the mineral to break across a definite plane, creating a smooth surface. Two minerals with cleavage are granite and shale.
vertices=1(one) edges=no edges faces=no faces

cleavage, if a natural property of the mineral (e.g. mica); or a fault, such as in a gemstone.
it is the property of solid crystal that they have straight edges and flat faces.
Diamond is the hardest natural mineral known. Wear could show on the edges if the diamond rubbed against another diamond.

The question causes me to wonder how the circular bases can be defined without edges!
