DUI - Driving Under the Influence DWI - Driving While Intoxicated

DWI is driving while intoxicated. DUI is driving under the influence.
In the US, depending on which state or jurisdiction you are in, it is called Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Some states use DUI as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In some jurisdictions, you can be charged with DWI or DUI even if your do not meet the Blood Alcohol Concentrations (BAC) levels for legal intoxication. In Canada the similar charge is Driving while Impaired (DWI).
You might go to jail...
No, not legally. It's Driving Under the Influence/Driving While Intoxicated, the same as if you're driving drunk.
I think that driving under the influence of alcohol is stupid, If you have ever been drunk you know that you don't really have control over your actions while the alcohol is effecting the brain. As for driving under the influence of other things, such as marijuana, that's fine, because its hella easy.
Driving under the influence is when one has been drinking or doing drugs and they are operating a motorized vehicle. It means that when someone is intoxicated with alcohol above the specified limit.
no not really, however driving while your high is a DUI (driving under the influence)
A driver cannot be charged with a DUI for driving while under the influence of an over-the-counter cold medication, because DUIs are only for drugs and alcohol.
