To achieve separation. What were you putting into the centrifuge? I know in Biochem usually centrifugation is a preparative step performed to isolate a single organelle of a cell. But centrifugation can also be analyical, for instance if you wanted to measure the density of whatever substance is in the tube.
The laws of inertia.
Everything tends to travel in a straight line unless some force forces it to do otherwise.
Objects with a greater mass (not weight) resist the bending force of the centrifuge more than objects of lessor mass (or density), and therefore move outward.
CENTRIFUGATI ON-It is a prosess of separating the liquid solute from liquid solution.
A centrifuge spins tubes, eppendorf or test tubes or centrifuge tubes, etc,... with one or more forms of a liquid and/or precipitate to separate them.
A centrifuge has holes to insert the centrifuge tubes in, a cap to secure the tubes inside, and a lid to protect both the samples and experimenter in case of malfunction. There is also typically a way to set the centrifuge speed and a power switch to turn the centrifuge on and off.
outward, because centrifuge means separating.
The centripetal force is the force with which the centrifuge pushes some object inwards. The opposite force, of course, is the object pushing the centrifuge outwards.
A centrifuge is used to spin liquids into separate components.
It's called a centrifuge; it spins to separate them based on densities.
In cell fractionation, the first step is to place the cells into a centrifuge
to sediment the particles
the function is to separate liquids from solids in about 20-40 seconds

A serofuge is a small centrifuge specifically designed to separate serum from cells and to complete blood cell washing procedures. Like a centrifuge, a serofuge has holes to insert the centrifuge tubes in, a lid to protect both the samples and experimenter in case of malfunction, and a way to set the centrifuge speed and way to turn the centrifuge on and off.

There is no step function in Excel. However, you can use excel to create a Step Function Chart. See related links for a video to explain the process.
That sounds like density centrifugation...So, a centrifuge?

It's a little difficult to say out of context. It could be someone who repairs and maintains centrifuges, or it could be a fancy way of referring to someone who operates a centrifuge. If it's the latter, on the lab status scale it's about a half-step up the ladder from "bottle washer".
Antonin Prandtl, however Gustof de Laval invented the first "Modern" centrifuge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centrifuge
centrifuge is a system which is used to separate the water from the diesel.
