Annuals.
Lol. how would i know
I have always preferred perennial flowers over annuals.
They were probably annuals. Annuals do not grow back, unless they reseed. If you want flowers that grow back, you need to plant perennials.
Annual flowers provide a pageant of blooming color from spring through autumn. Lasting for one growing season only, annuals nonetheless add pops of color to landscapes not easily found in perennials. When choosing annual flowers, view neighborhood gardens to get an idea of the flowers grow well. Plant annuals in groups of 3, 5, and 7 to balance flower beds. Alternate colors and plant the tallest annuals behind shorter varieties.

Annuals flower much better if you pinch back the dead flowers now and then.
It is better to deadhead all annuals as when they set seed they stop flowering.

Most cutting flowers are annuals. They have shallow root systems, usually about 4-6 inches. Some common cutting flowers with this root depth are zinnias, button flowers, straw flowers, and statice.
African Daisy is one type of flower belonging to the annuals category of plants. The plant height is 1-2 feet tall. Ageratum is another type of flower belonging to the annuals plants category. The height is 6- 36 inches tall depending on the variety.
Annual flowers are great for adding color quickly to your flower gardens. Some popular varieties of annuals are petunias, sunflowers, geraniums, impatiens, wax begonia and pansies.
