I have always believed that a person who buys art of any type does this for 2 reasons, though in my opinion the most important reason is because what you purchase pleases you in some sense. The second reason of course is as an investment but even in purchasing a painting, sculpture or handcrafted jewelry, does it make sense to buy something that doesn't please you in some fashion? In my experience I always purchase signed and numbered prints that I find appealing to my eye and every piece has increased in value many times over.
