well if you wish to slow a video down, add it to windows live movie maker, then click the edit tab that appears when you click on the video. then just reduce the speed to .5, .25, or .125
The video file has to be compatible with Windows Movie Maker in order to edit it in the program. Video files compatible with Movie Maker include:.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmvCheck your Sims 2 movie to see what file name extension (format) it has. Right-click the file and select Properties from the drop-down menu. What is the file name extension? Is it one of those listed? If not, you will need to convert the file before you can import/edit it in Windows Movie Maker.

It is compatible with Adobe Premiere Elements. It is not compatible with Movie Maker or Windows Live Movie Maker because the programs do not allow you to have more than one layer.
