The purpose was the orange guy is an icon for Answers, he is our community mascot. The orange color is great at drawing attention and psychologically stimulates positive feelings. A leading color trend in web design. He's versatile, fun and represents a little piece of everyone that visits the site. People really enjoy running into him.
