NSG Commando - How to become a NSG Commando?
National Security Guard Commandos are specifically trained individuals who carry out operations to protect the country from terrorist threats and foreign attacks. NSG is a special security wing that works within the Central Paramilitary Force. It is headed by the Director General of the Indian Police Service and is over sighted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Those who satisfy all the educational and physical criterions for becoming a NSG Commando can turn out to be the NSG Commandos'. Their job profile includes bomb disposals, handling hijacking circumstances in land or on air, detainee rescue and so on.
Qualifying Exam
Those who are working in Army and paramilitary, as well as the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Border Security Force can become NSG Commando's through deputation. Sashastra Seema Bal, Central Industrial Security Force and Central Reserve Police Force can also become the same by means of deputation. In addition, they should not be involved or witnessed in any mal practices. They should complete their graduation by the due time so as to get promotions in service.
How to prepare for exam and interview?
Applicants should have detailed knowledge in current affairs and common awareness so as to clear the test. They can procure specialized books from leading bookstores so as to prepare for the test. Aspirants can also rely up on previous years question papers for reference. By solving papers fixing a time, they may get relieved from the exam fears. By the way, aspirants get more self-assurance in attending the mains. Like wise, self-evaluation helps them in identifying their weaker portions. Thereby, they can concentrate much time on those portions.
I dont know for sure abot RAW and IB. I do know however that the leadership of IB and RAW consists of IPS Officers. For that you have to take the Civil Services Exam. NSG is a part of the Army. Once you join the army and have served for atleast two years, only then can you volunteer to join NSG. NSG has a very rigrous physical test and very demanding training with 78% drop out rate.
