This is very complicated to answer. There are a large number of gay teens that are still closeted for various reasons, usually because of a non-gay friendly environment. There are also many who are unsure about their sexuality, so this may push straight teens to believe they're gay, and vice versa. Since the average adult total is about 10-12%, excluding closeted gays, I would estimate anywhere between 10%-16%

Studies have shown that sexual orientation is typically not a factor in death rates; however, the rate of teen suicide is much higher among gay teens as it is among straight teens, due to bullying, lack of acceptance from family, and religious-based attacks against them. Gay teens who experience harassment are 8 times more likely to attempt suicide than straight teens.

Gay teens can be arrested for the same reasons as straight teens. They can't be arrested for being gay, but they can be arrested for sexual crimes. In many places the age of consent for same sex couples is higher than for heterosexual couples.
As of 2014, about 40% of homeless teens are gay.
