What is the reason for showing earlier in your second pregnancy?

You tend to carry your second pregnancy lower because your abdominal muscles get stretched so much by the first pregnancy that they're weaker. As a result, they can't support a baby as well as they did before, so the fetus drops lower in your abdomen. Also your uterus has "played the game before" it has already stretched to full capacity and once something has been stretched, it is easier to re stretch it. Nothing is as "tight" as it was before so this will cause you to show earlier.

Hi, During your pregnancy your tummy usually becomes harder during the 3rd month of pregnancy but it can be earlier in some women if its their second pregnancy. If this is your second pregnancy, you usually show earlier than you did with your first and some first pregnancies are late showing. This is normal. Yes your tummy can become harder underneath your belly button but it really depends on what position the fetus is in.

Hello. In a first pregnancy it usually takes longer to show. . . around three months. In a second, third pregnancy etc, you usually show earlier. Some as soon as 8 weeks. But it will only be a slight showing in the tummy area unless its a multiple pregnancy. If you suspect pregnancy then see your doctor for confirmation.
