The 235 / 70 / R16 is ( 29 inches in diameter , and the section width is 9.3 inches ) The 265 / 75 / R16 is ( 31.6 inches in diameter , and the section width is 10.4 inches ) So , 2.6 inches taller and 1.1 inches wider for the larger size tire

Allot of difference. The 265/75-16 is 5.03% 1.59" larger in overall diameter than the 255/70-16 and is a narrower tire. These 2 sizes are not interchangeable.
