What is the record for the largest Rubik's Cube?

Hundreds of competitions are organized each year in many different countries where speedcubers can compete against each other. The record times set in those events are known as 'official world records'.

The official world record as of 3/07/2011 is 6.24 set by Australian cuber Feliks Zemdegs at the Kubaroo Open 2011 competition.

As for unofficial world records, there's no certain answer. Many cubers post videos to YouTube claiming they achieved this or that time, so it is very hard to keep track of any unofficial world records.

Also, it might be possible that it unofficial world records are not true. Official world records are always true and valid, because there are judges at every competition.

softwares have made 1000 by 1000 cubes and also 4-d and 5-d rubiks cubes but the largest "real" cube is over 3 metres tall and weighs over 500kg.
