They are measuring two different things.
The difference between frequency modulation and phase modulation is that with frequency modulation the angular frequency of the signal is modified while with the phase modulation, the phase angle of the signal is modified.
The zero phase frequency is the frequency at which the phase of the input signal and the output signal match.
Amplitude Frequency
For small frequency of forced oscillation , the phase angle between the forced oscillator and driver is nearly zero . As the driving frequency increases the phase angle increases and is equal is PI/2 ,when both the frequencies (frequency of force and frequency of system for oscillation) are equal. For very large frequency of driver , they are out of phase.
It gives frequency modulated signal
modulating signal is the low frequency signal .so we cant transmit for a long distance.so we go for modulating the signal either by modulating the amplitude or frequency or phase of the signal.
Following are the 3 parameter by which high Frequency carrier can be varied by low frequency intelligence signal 1) Amplitude 2) Phase 3) Frequency
Different frequency components of a signal becoming out of phase
A signal that suffers frequency distortion has one of its frequencies shifted higher or lower. A signal that suffers phase distortion has one of its frequencies shifted in time compared to others. Take, for example, a square wave. Shift the phase of the primary harmonic and you have a mess that sounds the same pitch but different. If you shifted the frequency, it would sound higher or lower.
Frequency Amplitude Phase from Anura Priyantha
Just the amplitude change, while the frequency and phase still remain
Baud rate is the measure of how many times per second a signal makes a transition between two different states. The state of the signal can be a measurement of frequency, voltages, or phase angles to name a few. The Baud defines the number of signal events that occur in a transmitted signal.
