There is NO god in Buddhism, despite what many people think you do not worship the Buddha. Buddha said the question of God was unimportant. You can argue about God until you die and still never know for sure, therefore focusing upon whether God exists or not is just a waste of time. He encouraged followers to focus upon achieving a state of Nirvana.

There is no concept of God in Buddhism. Buddha himself was said to have smiled when asked about this. This is because the answer is "Shoonya" or Nothing. But this so called " Nothing" is the Real base over which every thing else is built. This "Nothing" is the final goal of every true spiritual seeker. This state is the "Kaivalya" by knowing which nothing else needs to be known. This is the Buddha state or Realisation. It is the true Reality the very sub-stratum of all other states. As per the Hindu way of life, there are four states. these are: Waking Dreaming deep sleep. The sub- statum (the fourth state, or Buddha state) of these states is known as "Tureeya" In this state you are awake while still in deep sleep state. you are beyond the three "Gunas" and one with Brahman. There is no god specific to Buddhism. However, Buddhism states that you may believe whatever god you wish. One of the realms of Buddhism is the Gods realm, where souls are incarnated as gods.
