Carnival is considered one of the liveliest and most popular festivals representing the world. Carnival has its roots in Portuguese, where in the past, people were playing one another, water, eggs and flour. The carnival took place in a period before Lent, and therefore had a significance attached to freedom. This sense remains to this day at the carnival.
