i don't think i am any good at science at all, but I'm pretty sure that when one parent cell splits, they produce two new identical cells, called daughter cells, please correct me if i am wrong or missed anything!

One daughter cell with double the DNA of parent cell

How many cell result from one cell division?

Two cells are result from one cell division.

What do you get from meiosis that you don't get from mitosis?

Mitotic cell division produces two genetically identical daughter cells that are genetically identical to their parent cell. The daughter cells that result from mitotic cell division are 2n, having two sets of chromosomes. Meiotic cell division produces four genetically non-identical cells that are 1n, having only one set of chromosomes. The parent cell for meiotic cell division is 2n.

What is the difference between cell division and mitosis?

cell division includes mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis is with one parent cell and meiosis is with 2 parent cells.

When binary fission is complete the result is two cell that each contain one copy of?

Binary fission is the process where cell division occurs to produce two daughter cells. This pair of daughter cells is identical to the parent cell.

What is the difference between me O sis to in mitosis?

Meiosis is a type of cell division that produces gametes (sperm and egg cells) with half the number of chromosomes of the parent cell. It involves two rounds of cell division, resulting in four genetically diverse daughter cells. Mitosis is a type of cell division that produces two identical daughter cells with the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. It involves one round of cell division.

Difference between nuclear division and cell division?

Cell division is when a cell splits in two to make more cells, and the cycle is where the cell does all the other stuff. A full life span of a cell is cell cycle that include cell division+ cell death and cell division cycle is the process of a cell to divide into two.

Why does cell division doesn't lead to daughter cells that only contain half the information of their parent cells?

Cell division or Mitosis generates 2 cells that are identical to the parent cell. yes conceptually, the parent is essentially divided in half, but before that event, the DNA, or the 'information' is duplicated so to generate 2 identical copies of the DNA or 'information'. thus, one copy for each daughter cell. the daughter cells do start out smaller then the parent, but then do grow in size and become identical in information and size to the parent.

Reduction division is the same as what form of cell division?

Reduction division is the same as meiosis, which is a type of cell division that produces gametes (sperm and egg cells) with half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. This process is important for sexual reproduction.
