In 69 you could get any gear ratio your heart desired, from 3.08 to a 4.56 if you wanted it so it would be hard to say what any ss out there had in it for sure.
you have to change the ring and pinon gars
Ever gear ratio was offered as an option back in 69, it's hard to tell whats in yours, I believe the standard gear ratio was a 3.08 gear.
The pinion gear meshes with the ring gear.
more than likely a 3.08 gear ratio but could also be in the 2.90's some also.

There could be several possibilities that were offered on that vehicle. You could remove the rear cover and count the teeth on the ring and the pinion, then use a calculator to divide the larger number by the smaller number to determine the ratio.
It is a 10k ring

After three weeks. Then give it a week and put it back in.
depends most chevys came stock with 2.89:1 ratio in the dif. however the easiest way to find out exactely what our vehicle has is to remove the dif cover plate and count the teeth on the ring gear, write that down, count the teeth on the pinion gear write that down and then divid the ring gear by the pinion gear. it is called "driven divided by drive" an example if your ring gear had 37 teeth and your pinion gear had 9 teeth, it would be 37/9 which is 4.11, so you would have a 4.11:1 gear ratio in your dif.
