I think you are describing a type of limestone called coquina.
because to main rock type is clay which is easly erroded by the sea therefor the cliff is undercutt and it falls down this happend again and again

Rock salt is not a rock...its just a salt that can be extracted from salty water especially from sea water.
It keeps getting eroded, and the cliffs are getting worn down, so eventually they will all crumble and fall into the sea. hope this helped :) x
