To replace the front struts on a 2001 Mazda MPV, first, safely lift the vehicle and remove the front wheels. Then, detach the strut assembly by removing the bolts connecting it to the steering knuckle and the top mounting bolts within the engine bay. Use a spring compressor to safely remove the coil spring from the old strut, then install the new strut with the spring. Finally, reassemble everything in reverse order, ensuring all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications.
If the Strut Bar is a GM Performance Parts Strut Bar then you have to purchase a set of end brackets. The same front strut bar can be mounted to the rear with a set of rear strut brackets. http://drcustomparts.com/HomePage.htm More info at w-body.com
Bad seal - needs replacement
i have a 2001 BMW 540i and i would ;like to replace the front left strut my self. how would i go about it step by step?

it needs three REAR, FRONT , and FRONT RIGHT the first two are underneath and the front right is on the right by the strut tower
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and put it up on stands. Don't trust a jack. 2 Take the front wheels off. 3. Pull the clip that holds the brake line to the strut. Don't take it off. 4. Remove the bolts that hold the strut to the steering knuckle. 5. Remove the top 3 nuts that hold the strut to the strut tower. 6 Remove the strut.
